Wine Expert and Speaker Jim Gabler

James Gabler is the author of several wine books including Passions: The Wines and Travels of Thomas Jefferson. Passions was the winner of the 1995 "Veuve Clicquot Wine Book of the Year" award. In 1993, Jim was invited to give the Jefferson and Wine Evening Conversation at Monticello, as part of the Jefferson 250th Birthday Commemoration.

In 1985 Jim wrote the first edition of Wine Into Words: A History and Bibliography of Wine Books in the English Language, the second edition of which has just been published. Two years later he authored a guide for novice wine drinkers, How To Be A Wine Expert, and a revised and expanded second edition was published in 1995.
